Miriam joined the IOOF Advice Research Team in January 2015. Miriam has over 16 years of investment experience in both Sydney and London across all major asset classes and is a CFA Charterholder.
Miriam, reporting to the Group Head of Research and Portfolio Construction – Matthew Drennan, contributes to the asset allocation and manager selection decisions for the model portfolios and is responsible for the evaluation of external fund managers across all asset classes, incorporating a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Prior to joining IOOF, Miriam most recently worked as a Portfolio Manager at AMP focussing on the investment of the Life company's statutory funds in both listed and unlisted assets. Previously Miriam managed Australian equities at boutique manager Pengana Capital and prior to that covered Australian and International equities as a fundamental and quantitative analyst on the buy and sell side for a number institutions in Sydney and London. Miriam began her career as a graduate focussing on performance and risk analytics and holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney with majors in Economics and Econometrics.
