Perennial Investment Partners (Perennial) is a specialist boutique investment management company. Formed in 1999 through a joint venture between senior investment professionals and IOOF, Perennial has responsibility for the management of all IOOF-branded managed funds.
Perennial's recent industry awards (Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year 2002; Morningstar Fixed Interest Manager of the Year 2002 and 2003, Money Management Fund Manager of the Year Fixed Interest 2004) reflect excellence in asset management and performance and are testament to their expertise and reputation in this field.
Perennial believes that all securities, including stocks and bonds, have an intrinsic value and through established fundamental analysis, Perennial can determine what it considers to be their true value.
Perennial also believes that investment markets are not fully efficient and from time to time stray from their true value. This gives active managers, such as Perennial, the opportunity to add value.
They believe that only through active management may experienced investment professionals identify mis-pricing opportunities and add value over and above recognised index returns.
Perennial has created an ownership structure conducive to performance excellence via staff ownership, management independence and business flexibility.
As a result of equity participation by key executives, Perennial ensures that the interests of its investors and investment professionals are clearly aligned, leading to better investment outcomes over the medium to long term for their clients.
Perennial has four key investment specialties or capabilities:
