Damian Hearn - Senior Technical Services Manager

Damian is a technical services expert and he has more than twelve years experience in Australian financial services. Damian’s role covers a raft of services ranging from technical advice and strategy publications, to speaking at professional development days. He is a regular contributor to industry magazines and journals. Damian joined the IOOF TechConnect Team in May 2009 and prior to working for IOOF, Damian was employed at Perpetual Private Clients as a Technical Services Manager. He has also worked at ASGARD Wealth Solutions and Colonial First State. Damian has been a committee member with the Financial Services Council serving on the Superannuation Working Group and has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Pam Roberts - Technical Services Manager

Pam has worked with the IOOF Group since 2001. Her area of expertise is superannuation, particularly the impact of the new legislation and the interpretation of tax law. Pam has a wealth of experience – over 20 years – in the superannuation industry, spanning both the private and public sector. Pam is a member of the Financial Services Council Superannuation Working Group. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (hons), Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

Julie Steed - Technical Services Manager

Julie has more than 20 years experience in the superannuation industry as a technical specialist, consultant and client services manager. Julie is responsible for the provision of superannuation technical information, specialising in small funds. Julie has gained extensive experience in assisting trustees, employers and service providers meet a wide range of prudential responsibilities and in helping advisers with the provision of services to clients. Julie is a Senior Fellow of Finsia, a Fellow of ASFA and an accredited SMSF Specialist Adviser™ with the SMSF Professionals' Association of Australia (SPAA).

Martin Breckon - Technical Services Manager

Martin joined the IOOF TechConnect team in April 2012 and he has over 20 years’ experience helping to developing advisers via legislative research and technical strategies. Prior to IOOF Martin was a MLC Technical Manager, Business Development and prior to that a Technical Marketing Manager with Aviva Australia responsible for the Techpoint department. He has also held diverse management roles with AXA dealing in both wholesale and retail sectors. Martin is an active member in the industry, he has been involved with various industry bodies, and is a regular contributor to industry magazines and journals. Martin has an MBA and Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).
